Happy Birthday. We (especially I) miss you. Can't wait to see you in two weeks! Until then, we'll celebrate Canada Day from afar with all the usual fixins and fanfare. Here is a partial list of a few of the things I love and miss from the Motherland:

• Real slurpees
• French and English on my cereal box
• Diversity (it is a bit lacking here in Utah)
• White Chocolate Brownies from Moxie's
• Trips to Waterton and Banff
• Grandma Burt's House
• Colorful money, loonies and twonies
• The metric system
• The spellings I grew up with: colour, centre, etc
• Beautiful sprawling wheat fields
