Luke's 3rd Birthday

Eek, this was eons ago! Luke turned 3 on November 7th and had his first friends birthday party. I really didn't want to go to the trouble of throwing him parties until he was old enough to know about it. But he has been to so many of his friends' parties that he kept asking me when it would be his special birthday. So I invited some friends over and we had a little superhero party. I made little capes for each of the kids and then we had some games to test their superpowers. It was lots of fun. We are lucky to have so many friends that live so close to us.

A few things about Luke:
• He loves to have fun and play. We tried Joy School out in the fall but he didn't love it. He knew where the toys were at people's houses and just wanted to play. I can't really blame him as he is still a little boy. So we quit that and will try a different type of preschool in the fall.
• Luke is very independent. One of his favorite things to say is "I can do it by myself," with emphasis on the last three words. He plays really well alone or with friends, is good at sharing and loves to be silly. He never gets bored.
• He is a great helper. He listens very carefully and will go fetch things for me.
• He is still a pretty picky eater but we're working on that.
• He pottytrained in June and he made it really easy.(Don't hate me. He was just ready).
• He loves trains and cars, anything with wheels. Thomas, GeoTrax and Hot Wheels are his favorites.
• He loves music and listening to music. He often makes up little songs when he is playing with his toys, it is very cute.
• He loves to read books with me.
• He must talk on the phone to everyone that calls. And he usually asks them if they can come to his house.
