33 Weeks

I had my 33-week checkup today and it looks like all is well. I am measuring right on schedule, which is great, and the doctor said the baby is likely at least four-and-a-half pounds already. She (the baby, not the doctor) should gain about a half a pound a week until delivery.

I can't believe I only have seven weeks left! I don't feel nearly as anxious as I did with my first pregnancy. I was originally thinking I would be induced early because Luke was nine days overdue and quite large. I was in a world of hurt after with stitches up the wazoo (quite literally). However, I now think I may just wait to go naturally. After all, I haven't gained even half of the weight that I did with Luke so hopefully this child won't be as big. And if I go overdue exactly eight days I will qualify for an *Aflac payment.

Of course, I reserve the right to change my mind as the date approaches. I may get tired of the baby-has-a-knife-and-is-trying-to-split-open-my-belly thing that has been going on for a few days now.

I will post a picture of my pregnant self later for those who are dying to know how I look. (Admit it, it is fascinating to see that belly grow!).

*For those of you who read my rant on health care before I deleted it, rest assured knowing that I finally got all of my money from Aflac on my previous claim. It only took six phone calls and four claim reviews!
